Every crazy idea begets someone crazy enough to run with it, so I present to you guys: TRS-8G, the Ogre Mk.V for the player on a budget.

Careful observers might be able to pick out a thing or two about where I got some of the pieces...as well as notice some of "Trashy's" underbelly-support, because the treads proved a little too flimsy to hold him up by themselves...

Are you deliberately riffing on "TRS-80," or is the designation coincidence? In any case, excellent work! I hope to see this at a convention near me soon. :D

Double reference! I used TRS instead of the alternatives on purpose to reference the TRS-80, and the whole shebang because it's a shortened version of "Trashbag".

If he's going on the con circuit with me, I'll have to do some reinforcement. A couple dabs of poster-tack ain't cutting it, and the handful of gas station hot dog clamshells are really, really, REALLY flimsy.

Which is why Athena looks so annoyed...between her attention span and Trashy falling apart at least twice, I had to sit her down 4 or 5 times to get that last shot.

That's the same thing I saw when I first looked at it. Not sure what that says about us :-)

Considering that many of us use TRS-80s as small boat anchors these days, I wouldn't worry about it...

Battle damage update: The scheming alliance of gravity, the couch arm I was looking at to decide whether or not to rebuild (long story), and a Lieutenant Commander super-excited to get dinner means we're down to 1 1/2 primaries (the golf tee fell off), 2 secondaries, and 5 missiles.

I was also wondering about the missile tubes. they look like a special cluster bomb rather than a single rattler :-)

Sounds like a neat Ninja tool, but reality is a lot more boring. Soap bar boxes were too big, and in a moment of 'crap, it's already mostly assembled' panic, I grabbed something close enough: barely enough dice for a starting Shadowrun character...and then ran downstairs to see if I had any wire nuts left, 'cuz I'm out of earplugs.
