So say Pikachu is a 300% weight class ally of Ash

20 (for 200%) +10 (for two +50%), so 30. +50% cosmic 45, Ash has Pikachu 15 or less, so with his DMs approval Ash pays 135 for Pikachu?

Sounds right. Then Ash is a 100-point pokemon trainer or whatever. So Pika is about 700 points. Makes sense to me.

I get where this conversation is coming from/going- but I would think that ash is actually a very expensive character.

For advantages:
1. He has two all the time allies in brock and misty (or others depending on the series)
2. He has his titular 'god in a ball'.
3. He has serendipity, as he always seems to find exactly what he needs to continue along or pass the next test.
4. He has luck (things that could potentially fail never fail for him, at least when it counts)
5. He has high personal endurance, high willpower, high pain tolerance, moderate athletisicim
6. Perhaps- he has an unusual ability to inspire and lead others, this may be an advantage rather than skill.
7. He has a patron in whatever pokemon doctor he is dealing with (depending on the series)


For skills:
1. He has an unusual ability to inspire/lead others, this may be a skill rather than an advatnage.
2. He has tactics (pokemon).
3. He has survival (outdoors)
4. Possible camping, backpacking, sailing, riding (or it may be that he has wild talent and gets the skill he needs at the time).

I'm not saying he is a massive super-power, but he is much more than 100 points; which may make his 'portable gods' fit in the 150% range.

Ash also has numerous subsidiary Pokemon, even if not deific level like Pikachu (notably Ash does not put Pika in a ball)

Another question, how do you handle Allies of Allies? If Misty is Ash's ally, how do we handle Staryu?

Summonable allies are supernatural powers and thus never cost 0 points for NPCs. (I know this is RAW, but I can't remember where it's at.)

Otherwise, just use PK's "Friend of a Friend" modifier.
