Michelle is wearing armor, isn't she? Subtract that.

Dorli eases along the planks towards where he heard the crashing sound.

After he takes his first step, he can feel the boards underneath him giving way. There's no time to move anywhere else, and nowhere else to go besides. He falls through the floor, crashing through three levels before land atop a large pile of soft rat corpses.

He takes six crushing damage, minus his armor.

Everyone else hears the loud crash.

OOC: You got a low roll.

Dorli's armor blocks all of the damage, but he takes 1 point of blunt trauma, which is blocked by his innate thick skin DR.

[ooc] I call it the steel parachute :D.

He quickly gets to his feet and untangles his gear. He unties the straps that hold his axes in their slings, readying them for combat, then with his holy symbol in his shield hand and a throwing axe in his right hand he starts turning this way and that, looking for threats and trying to determine how large the room he has found himself in is.

I call it me being pretty generous with regard to his ankles. :)

He's in a large mountain of rat corpses. It's almost as tall as he is. Placed against the walls, and chained together with some of the old chains from around the place, are big ceramic jars, each about the size of Dorli. It's much darker here than it was up above. There's no torch here. The light that is shining in is much dimmer, only coming from above, in the hole he made when he fell through the roof.

It's a wedge-shaped room, just like the one he was in before, but this one has a dirt floor. There are multiple pipes leading into the room. The come in through the walls. Someone has done a patch job to seal up all the holes.

There's another pipe on the floor, too small for you to fit through. Small footprints lead in and out of the pipe to the jars. You can see that the pipe has a wire mesh bent over it and there's a dead rat stuck in it. Looks like it tried to crawl out and got its head stuck.

Other than that small pipe, and the hole in the roof, he sees no way out.

[ooc] How small footprints? Something that could fit through the mesh?

Dorli takes a look at one of the jars. If there's nothing obvious to be seen from examining the outside of them, he casts Sense Life on the jar using his holy symbol, limiting the search to "life larger than a small insect that is capable of movement" (in other words, he doesn't care about random bacteria or non-dire cockroaches).

[ooc] 15/16 FP. How many jars are there?

Halfling-sized footprints. And you figure a halfling would be the biggest thing that could fit through that pipe. And it would be a tight squeeze even then.

He finds a largish-spider (about the size of a tarantula) in a web behind one of the jars. There are two dead rats in that web.

He doesn't pick anything up with his spell.

Eight.

Ignoring the spider for now, Dorli tries to see what is in the jar, using his axe to break it if there is no obvious way to open it.

[ooc] How high is the first floor above him?

It's a very heavy jar. Thick too. The lid is chained down. Seeing no obvious way through the chain, Dorli raises his axe and smashes it down onto the top of the jar.

Make me a HT roll at -4. You just got you a nice whiff of hellrat wine.

Say the jars are four feet tall and they reach halfway to the ceiling. So eight feet.

After a few minutes and if nothing comes by Michelle starts to explore her new surroundings.

Edit: perception failure by two and crit fail stealth. Link to rolls.
