Re: Blindness and Dark Vision- please help me clear it up
Rules like that do mean bats would have to add loads of limitations to fit reality. As written, Sonar simply doesn't fit any real world animal despite the name and implied intent.

Re: Blindness and Dark Vision- please help me clear it up
It means the same within the game rules. Range for scanning senses is no-penalty range.

Quote:
Dark Vision (Based on Sense x, +0%), Colorblindness, and Sense X Sight* [0]. * It was "Sonar Sight", like the old school Daredevil from the early days of the comics. I hand waved pretty much everything. What the character could do: "See" just as though he were completely colorblind. "See" around corners and through thin walls and such with really good hearing rolls. Was immune to flash based attacks and couldn't be blinded by lasers, etc. What he couldn't do: Read books, or billboards or see any colors at all. Couldn't read computer monitors or watch tv. Windows 'distorted' his "sight" since he had to hear the vinrations off of them, which was inaccurate (I just penalized his rolls). Could be blinded by extremely loud noises, have his 'vision' distorted by soic attacks or white noise generators, etc. |
