Default Discworld

Hi All, first post from me.

With Discworld listed as a November release, may I ask.....
a) whether it will be a one off release or could it be supported by some adventures?
b) Is there going to be pdf coming out as well as the hardback?
c) What level of complexity will the included GURPS rules be like? GURPS lite or more?

Ta, in advance!

I don't speak for the company, but I suspect that the licensing terms might make publishing extra books or PDFs of adventure material tricky. However, most of the material I wrote for the first edition and had published in Pyramid, including a few scenarios, seems to be available for free on this site; just search for >Discworld scenario< or something. I'll do what I can about keeping it supported on these boards, too.

I'll leave that for the company to answer.

GURPS Lite plus some minor details and a full-sized magic system.

Cool. :)

So how does the magic system work?

Umm, it's a flexible system designed to allow somewhat improvisational play while still keeping things both reasonably simple and fairly close to the books. It ended up using a Magic Points budget, which wizards and witches end up interacting with somewhat differently...

"Quite well, judging by the playtests" would be the other answer there.
