i enjoy revisiting this every few years, it seems. my current lego ogre mk v is getting closer to the canonical look, though i still haven't found a technique for recreating the faceted primary hull that i like. i've also foregone the AP turrets for now, i kind of imagine them there but buried in the armor.

everything works out to nearly microfig scale (the small figures lego used for their heroica games several years ago). i'm starting to think my next one might be minifig scale, about 70 studs long.

with a bit of terrain, though, this one might be worth bringing to brickworld chicago next year.

I'm actually more impressed with the work done on all the other armor units!

The Mk V is interesting as all get out but I keep getting thrown by scale/proportion issues which of course throw me into a "what about doing it this way, oh no, that wouldn't work because of ..." and so on. That tower and front faceted hull is a real challenge and I'm stuck thinking what parts could solve it.

Those are all coming along nicely!

How much terrain do you need to acquire to build O1 at that scale and run games at Brick World?
