Timing Question with Fitzbandantelminster, Ooh Shiny, and a 1 one health creature.
Hello, there!
If I'm playing a Halfling Ranger deck, my hero is unzapped, I have a 1 health creature in my stash, and an unzapped Fizbandantelminster in my hoard: Can I play Ooh, Shiny!, triggering Fizbandantelminster's ability, then use my hero ability to regenerate my 1 health creature, and then finish resolving Ooh, Shiny! to unzap my hero? This is a weird combination of timing events, and it's left me a little confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

Re: Timing Question with Fitzbandantelminster, Ooh Shiny, and a 1 one health creature
Because Fizbandantelmisnter's and the Ranger's abilities are both interrupts, this works.
The breakdown: You pay the cost and play Ooh, Shiny!, you then interrupt it with Fizbandantleminster's zap ability, which deals one damage to all Allies and Monsters. An ally or monster that has zero life left is immediately squished. You can use the Ranger's zap ability to interrupt the monster getting squished and Regenerate it, stashing it face-down. At this point, Regenerate is completed, so you go back up the chain to the ability it interrupted, Fizbandantleminster's, and finish resolving that. Once all the damage is done there, it is resolved, and you go back up the chain to the ability it interrupted, Ooh, Shiny!. Finish resolving Ooh, Shiny! and unzap your now zapped Ranger, and you're done. |
