Asking for helper

Can you ask for help no matter what cards have been playing? Even if enhancers or wandering monster have been added thus not allowing for you to defeat it on your own.

As long as you are not winning the combat, you can ask one player to help you. It does not matter how much has happened before you finally ask for a helper. Once you have a helper, that's it, though; you have to try to win, or give up and try to Run Away.
