Letters from the front lines(Not a question)
We played a very spirited game tonight. 4 players, many different strategies playing out. The highlight, and turning point of the game, was a turn of mine involving a conscious move into a room containing a Pterodactyl, King Tut, and a Misplacer Beast that all told, by the end of combat, were all quite buff and worth a total of 14 treasures. I was a (Blue)level 6 Warrior, and my friend was a (Red)level 4 Elf/Thief. And, being the helpful elf he was, agreed to help for the low, low price of 6 treasures. We fought, our opponents retaliated, we responded, words were exchanged, and it came down to the dice roll - 8 for our side, 5 for the monster side(Bane Rings were involved, as was the Swiss Army Polearm). After the roll(and the use of both my Loaded and Reloaded Die cards), the score stood Monsters - 68, Munchkins - 70.
We shook hands, dealt out treasure, traded a few back and forth to maximize our gained booty, celebrated in the faces of our formidable opponents, and then went back to backstabbing each other like nobody's business. Now levels 9 and 7, we continued. I won after another hard fought turn the next round. It was a good game, and I wanted to share the highlights with you all.
