Thief power
The Thief power seems to be confusingly written. From what I can figure out, if the power works, you pick a side, roll a die, and add that much to the chosen side. Is this right?

Re: Thief power
That's how I read it. I feel it's less confusing because similar wording is used elsewhere, but the basic gist is you can backstab the Monsters (roll a die for the munchkins) or vice versa.

Re: Thief power
Interestingly enough, that's how we interpreted the same question on our maiden MQ dungeon delve at my FLGS. Great minds do think alike . . .

Re: Thief power
Yes, you should, since this is the MQ forum.
In regular Munchkin Card Game the Thief ability to Backstabby works only in other players, not in Monster or Hirelings.

Re: Thief power
Please slap me if this is the wrong place for the question, but it seemed related enough...
I was just curious why the Thief in MQ can't steal anything? That's always been my favorite part of the Munchkin class. Maybe some of the higher ups who are visiting frequently might explain the process by which this ability was determined to be not so great for the game? |

Or maybe they just decided that it would get too complicated too easily? If you wanted to house-rule it in, I'd think it would make a good substitute for the d10 Power, so it gets better as you do. |

I think that would be a really bad sub. for the d10 power. With that as the d10 power once the thief got to level 10 they would be unstoppable. They would be able to steal every item from everyone at the table and have no penality for do so, with no chance of failure. |
