So, this whole thing got started when I was talking about an idea for a Road Warrior style campaign with my brother. He immediately decided his ersatz PC would have an armed mobile repair center based on a small school bus, complete with a turret. He even found a toy monster-bus, sans turret.

As The GM Who Preps Too Much, all of the above research was to lead to this:

Monster Short Bus (TL8)
This is a small TL7 school bus upgraded to TL8 materials and modified as a mobile, armed repair vehicle. The passenger bench seating has been removed (except for the front row, allowing for 5 passengers to still be carried), with the rear area being converted to a one-man repair shop for armoury, mechanical, engineering, and electrical duties. A full-rotation turret has been added to the top of the bus, armed with a pair of heavy machine guns; the gunner is half-in, half-out of the turret while in use. The engine has been upgraded to a multi-fuel ceramic powerplant, and the suspension features monster wheels and all-wheel drive.
{Base vehicle description: Manufactured by Blue Bird, this small school bus can carry 22 passengers. The bus uses 12.9 gallons of fuel per hour at routine usage (x1.2 if the fuel is alcohol).

Subassemblies: Body +4, Turret [Body:T] +1, 4 Off-Road Wheels +3.
Powertrain: 340-kW all-wheeled drivetrain with 340-kW ceramic engine, 8,000-kWs advanced battery.

Pedantry: Why do the first three have gasoline tanks if they burn diesel?

Or is this some convention of vehicle write-ups?

Nope, it's me making a mistake. The Fire Chance was correct for diesel, however.
