War In A Box - Heavy on the Car Wars
So I've recently jumped back into the miniature wargaming hobby, and picked Car Wars as a first project. I loved the game back in the day, and loved the one game of 5th edition that I played before...well, you know. While browsing in the local game shop, I found a copy for a buck. As they say, the first taste is free...
So now I've got a miniature wargaming blog with just enough posts to justify spamming up this board. War In a Box. I'm chronicling the steps as I put together a stand-alone box set for big Division 5 fights. Thanks for humoring me. |

nice stuff! I think you should look at the rules with front-mounted flamethrowers though.

Very kool stuff. I love the photos of the cars. I'm using Battle Machines and Ground pounders for my cars. Keep the ideas and photos coming!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'll let you know how the first few games go.
Is that a pre-5th edition thing? It's ringing a few bells, but I couldn't find it in my 5th edition books. |

Pre-5th edition you couldn't mount FT's on the front.

Original zip-loc bag rules prohibited this but I think that the restriction was lifted prior to 5th edition.

I think you could still mount them there, but you couldn't fire them while driving foreward.

Yeah, I'm very impressed by all this
some great ideas there that I plan to steal for my own minis car wars games:.) Love the debris o****ers and stuff I do want to run a higher division though, does anyone have any CAR WARS LITE type rules that would allow you to do this?? I know, I know, I should just put my nose to the grindstone and do it myself but I just htought that someone may have already done it is all:.) |
