Clairsentience (Projection) -- same penalty as Insubstantial, or no?
I'm looking at the various methods of projecting a viewpoint in Powers. There are quite a few -- Clairsentience, Insubstantiality, and Warp with various enhancements.
Right now I'm checking out Clairsentience (Projection, +140%), from p. 44 in Powers. This also references the Projection box just above it. I notice that this enhancement is specifically taken for the ability to use spells on the material world, but nowhere around here is mentioned the -3 that Insubstantiality gives to using such abilities. Should it be assumed to apply, or no? I have a similar question on which spells in fact affect a projection. Insubstantiality says "(nonmaterial) magical attacks," whereas the Clairsentience Projection enhancement says the projection is vulnerable to "spells, mental abilities" etc. without the "(nonmaterial)" modifier. Still, I would be it was probably intended: so, for instance, a Clairsentience projection would not have to worry about a Fireball, but would worry about, say, Deathtouch. Yes? OR is Fireball still a problem for a projected clairsentience? |

In this case the Projection modifier treats the projected body as if it was built with insubstantial for most purposes. The only real difference I can think of is movement and range.
