Default AADA and leagues

So, I don't have my flavor text in front of me, but in the CW-verse I seem to recall that the AADA also sponsors leagues, or may have a league of its own that dominates the Americas for autoduelling.

What other leagues might there be? In the here and day we have the American and National leagues for baseball, the MBA, the two NFL leagues, PGA and so forth. Back in the 90s there was the little known Federal League for baseball (which I think had historic origins way back when), and as such I'm wondering if there are other minor leagues or non affiliated leagues for autoduelling that are scattered throughout the states and beyond.

Thoughts?

Blue Ghost,

You were asking about sports leagues in the Car Wars game world. I will defer your question to other autoduelists.

In the real world, I operated the WADA Car Wars League for four years. If there is sufficient interest, I would be willing to start it again.

Any Car Wars player is welcome to use the WADA Car Wars League system for their own groups and leagues.

"Leagues" might refer to the various subdivisions of the AADA, also referred to as "circuits".

In Reality, there's three levels of motorsport -- Local, Regional, and National. For example: NASCAR has its "All-American Series", which consist of various Local tracks being compared with one another through various values (number of attendees at events, etc.); above that are the Regional series, like the K&N Series (West and East), or Whelen Modifieds, which run at different tracks within the same general area (usually a 24-hour tow one-way); then there's the National series like Cup and Trucks (tho' none of them comes to Pacific Northwest, so they aren't truly "national" >:) )

Putting the above in _CW_ Terms: The AADA has affiliated Arenas (ones which follow the rules the AADA lays down for how events are run, and how drivers comport themselves); above that are the regional Circuits; above that is a National Tour which leads to the World Finals. There may be other, smaller regional leagues, unaffiliated with the AADA, but they don't get much airtime from the AADA, for obvious reasons :) . (Someone mentioned BLUD, but they can only be considered an "organization" in a squint-and-tilt-your-head way.)

Heh, what, like .... tying industrial strength bungees to car chassis, and then having them drive off a bridge or cliff and having them fight on the way down and back up?
