ColBosch,

I do not know if Pocket Box Boat Wars will be an option, but there have been a few statements from SJ Games on the Web suggesting Raid on Iran might become available.

Magesmiley,

Thanks for the reminder of the high Maximum Weight values of Racing Body Styles in Dueltrack. The gasoline engines in Dueltrack are lightweight.

Over 20 years ago, I checked almost every published Car Wars vehicle design using a spreadsheet. The statistics in CWC 2.5 (and CWC 1 and CWC 2.1) make the Sample Racing Cars in Dueltrack overweight. When I tried to make the vehicles legal, I provided multiple options of several smaller gasoline engines and removal of frame armor.

The gasoline engine Top Speed formulas in Dueltrack are also different than the format of (x * Power Factors) / (Power Factors + Weight) used in CWC 2.5.

If Pocket Box Boat Wars becomes available, I would like to see it included in the "Car Wars + Other Games" pledge level.

I would also like to see Kung Fu 2100 become available.

Car Wars Expansion Set 1 stretch goal unlocked and added to the $200 reward level . . . along with a bonus.

I shared some pages from the 1983 Steve Jackson Games catalog on BGG.

ColBosch,

Thank you for your regularly-provided excellent comments. Here is some information from Twitter that might interest you.

@SJGames Will Pocket Box Car Wars be a Stretch Goal for the Pocket Box Kickstarter? Will PB Boat Wars be added to the Car Wars pledge level? Empty bright green PBs that were used for The Awful Green Things From Outer Space as an optional purchase?

Replying to @carcombat @SJGames

The Car Wars Pocket Box was one of the first games available in the project at launch; no need for that to be a project stretch goal.

$60,000 stretch goal unlocked . . . and we've added another expansion to the $200 reward level.

In short: The weights of all gas engines were increased ~50%.

It didn't stop gasburners becoming predominant in duels at Div. 20 and higher, as one could still bring a decent design in at that cost. Increasing the *costs* ~50% would have put a end to the "60-MPH rolling brick" design school.
