[DF] What a load!
Loadouts has arrived. I'm not sure I would have put the extra pages for each template in the book; it adds to the cost. But it is handy.

Re: [DF] What a load!
The breakdown by template is an important part of the "grab and go" idea of speeding up character creation and getting characters ready to just dump into a game and run with them :) My players are pretty excited about it.

Re: [DF] What a load!
Well done, I really like it.
It's good that they are offering that grab and go material, it comes in handy and saves much time! Also, now we can even do spontaneous DF One-Shots with fully equipped chars... =) |

Re: [DF] What a load!
It also really helps for generating NPCs...

(I must admit, though, that I don't know just how table-friendly they are; the e23 link to my "author copy" hasn't arrived yet) That's pretty much what we were shooting for: pick a character template, pick a matching equipment list, and play. This is probably the least inherently interesting GURPS project I've ever worked on (somebody might read, say, Hot Spots: Florence because it's nice to read on its own, but not this one), but with the possible exception of Low Tech it's the most broadly useful.

Re: [DF] What a load!
Actually, I was referring to the ones that take up the second half of the book, the Chapter Two Equipment Sheets. That's 24 pages. I can see the use, but is it worth the extra $2?

Hmmm....I'm going to regret using Bruno's house-rule armor list now, aren't I?

Ooops! I just bought Lands Out of Time. Had I known, I would have picked this up instead. Oh well, there's always next week.

But what I have seen it will be great for a quick NPC generation.
