Munchkin: Sheep Impact! Singularity Help
Hello,
So this has happened twice while playing with sheep impact. A player dies on their turn and once the next player starts their turn a seal happens to open and it is singularity. My question is does the player who died take the effects of singularity and draw 4 cards of each or can he not draw any cards until it is his turn again. This was up for discussion because the wording im the rules states that the player reappears again when the next player starts their turn but also states that they cant receive any cards. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Munchkin: Sheep Impact! Singularity Help
The timing is critical here.
If the Singularity hits while you are actually dead (for instance, if your death was the reason that Seal opened), the "dead characters don't get cards" rule overrides the Singularity, and you don't draw any cards. Remember, however, that you only stay dead until the next player's turn starts. So if you died, dealt with that aftermath, and then another turn started, you aren't dead anymore and you can get cards just like anyone else. You just don't happen to HAVE any cards at the moment. If the Singularity occurs after you have come back to life but before you have drawn a new hand (per the Death rules), then you draw a new hand because of the Singularity effects and then draw eight MORE cards because of the Death rules. You've found a very entertaining loophole!
