Default Drone bomb

You can't replace the LGEV's pilot with a drone controller and a cruise missile warhead because?

I could see this working in a scenario.

Defender has a swarm of LGEVs marked with number tokens, and has secretly marked that one (or maybe two, depending on map size) is a smartbomb. An attacking Ogre (perhaps a Ninja?) suddenly has some interesting decisions to make.

Could be tweaked/balanced by map choices, additional forces for attacker a/o defender, or variances in the objective (a train or mobile cp?)

In reality, drones and bombs as large as those in the cruise missiles would be a dime a dozen. That's true today, so it'll certainly be true in the Ogreverse.

As with nearly all of these issues, it's about game balance.

... because a ground-bursting nuke won't take out the OGRE on a reliable basis? It's a stretch, but BPC might be able to survive a near hit just like an Orion pusher-plate. Especially a nuke that just dumped half its energy into the ground, and a good part of the remainder upwards into the atmosphere.

Ok, you might strap the warhead to the ejection seat for height, but I suspect a cruise missile is a lot cheaper.

Also, are we talking a regular warhead, or a Casaba-Howitzer shaped nuclear charge?

GO82 says 100 kt unidirectional charge.

Best result for 100 kt warhead is 1280 feet diameter crater or one quarter the width of one hex. Ogre will engage drone at half a hex when it overruns. Ogre will survive the blast, but all facing weapons will be blow off.
