The Uncanny Valley

Approaching the Savannah of Jordi, travellers see endless plains...until they get close and find a massive canyon in their path. The canyon protects the animals on one side from the humans on the other...while the inhabitants can be considered either human or animal, depending on your prejudices.

There are over a dozen known other human species, and who knows how many others existed that archaeologists haven't found. Each lasted for millions of years, and had members reach their Destinies.

Attempts to learn about these ancient species hit the problem that these Blessed have dwelt in Heaven for millions of years, and no longer have any Force restrictions. A 15 Force Australopithecine who has spent 99.99999% of his existence in Heaven resembles his Mercurian friends more than his living nature! While those who are more animal than human can benefit from the Songs of Animals - which can increase the target's Intelligence to 10.

As the first tool users, David is fond of these proto-humans, and cave mouths link the Uncanny Valley to his Caverns. Some of the greatest knappers in history dwell here, and even experienced angels have much to learn from them - Servitors of Lightning and Creation will often visit.

The most common visitors though are from Christopher's House. The children there are fascinated by their 'grandparents', and will travel to meet their more paternal and maternal ancestors.
