Re: Pyramid #3/106: Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game II
Very inspiring cover art for this issue. Good job.
What happens if you touch or gaze into a glowing rune? Say what you want about b-dog, but someone with this sense of humor can't be all bad (funniest thing I have yet to read on these forums). |

I'm going to have to print out page 21 so I can burn it.

If you gaze into the glowing rune too long, the glowing rune gazes into you.

First rule of Gen Con photos: You'll be tired for want of sleep, achy from walking around a huge hall carrying swag, looking a little squished by fellow attendees in the throng, and probably not 100% healthy given the dining options. The same goes for the photographer. No photo will be flattering. Just repeat one thought to yourself: "Having a photo means having bragging rights."

All told, I don't think the herd horror is any more humorous than the drowned (rotting underwater wights), frozen dead (ice-encased zombies), mummy (the intelligent boss-monster kind), swamp wisp (evil vapors that suffocated people), or tomb tree (ambulatory undead tree with a corpse imprisoned within). Actually, I think all of these things are kind of creepy, if not potentially horrific.

Re: Pyramid #3/106: Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game II
The entire issue is kind of an ad for DFRPG... and it worked! I can't wait to get the pdf now, everything in that first article sounds great. Tweaks to templates, simplified mechanics (thank you, RAW slam, for ceasing to exist) abilities without the underlying components laid bare, revamped spells and prerequisites, lots of beasties... I mean, my group consists of drama queens (me included) who play for tragic familial betrayals that you can score an opera to, but we could use "rules medium" GURPS for that stuff.

Man - has there been a lot of that in later Dungeon Fantasy releases? I must have missed them somehow.

There's been nothing of the sort. SJG writing standards are much higher than that.
