Snatcher requires your character to be able to visualize the materials and designs involved. While this normally means no magical things for a character from a mundane world, it won't be hard to imagine magical things once you've been transported to a magical world.

So, let's dispose of your mage in a way that completely unmodified Snatcher allows!

Me: I Snatch a ring enchanted with Great Wish *makes roll*

GM: And what do you wish for?

Me: 500d Explosive Fireball to the mage's face.

GM: ...You see a mushroom cloud where the mage used to be.

Knowing that you can stack enough uranium together would create a nuclear blast was TL6 knowledge. TL7 would be delivery mechanisms more complicated than loading a B-52 with a single bomb, and then hoping they could get far enough away before it went off.

Nah, the V2 or V3 could probably carry one, might have a bit of trouble hitting the target you but.

I think we were already told that the arcmage has enscorreled his realm to not support atomic weapons

Wouldn't work, I'll let someone else explain why things like that could never work:

What part of "magic" are you having trouble with? It's all a "could never work" by definition. ;)

A reality in which the laws of physics do not permit nuclear weapons would not support matter as it exists in our universe. It might, however, support something that strongly resembles matter as it exists in our universe, and in any case, a reality in which magic is possible already has physics that are not the same as the ones in our universe.

I'd think the biggest problem with assassinating a figure of extreme prestige and power in a world with access to the spell list in GURPS Magic would be that he knows you're coming. You may be foretold by prophesy as the one who brings his death. Using a nuke probably makes it a much bigger prophesy, foretelling the deaths of many thousands, a curse upon the land, and wind of wasting pestilence.

At the very least, you're going to have to contend with a mystically empowered Royal Guard or Secret Service hunting you preemptively. Heck, their justice system might make Pre-Crime look non-deterministic, "Sorry, I know you've got this whole 'help the orphans' thing going on, but that's the mark of the Tenth Martyr and you know the law..."

Also, they don't know how to build a nuke, but they may know about radioactivity at TL5. Late TL5 is when people were figuring that sort of thing out.
