That's Shape Fire which of course is a prereq for Fireball.

800 spells might not b infinity but it's a relatively large number conceptually. You're not going to find Real Magic users with infinite imagination anyway.

My group has World of Darkness Backgrounds. We know how to manipulate a dynamic sorcery system for some really wonderful effects.

Then you'll be happy to know that Realm Magic is the magic system from the 3e book GURPS Mage: the Ascension with the serial numbers filed off.

In that case wouldn't the two systems interact exactly as sorcery and magick interact in the WoD.

It had a distinctly familiar feeling when I was reading it.

To be fair, some important parts got shaved off and presented separately. Take a look at Special Cases and Options (pp.192–195): Practices is an expansion on GMtA foci rules; Reactive Reality is Paradox; Disregarding Energy Costs encapsulates how GMtA magic doesn't have energy costs, including a reference to The Stuff of Raw Magic (pp.227–229), which is basically Quintessence. And so on: ultimately, everything in the Special Cases and Options section derives from GMtA.

That isn't necessarily the case outside of the WoD. You could use either system to represent magic from different sources that don't interact much at all. For example if you were using spells as psionics and realm as hacking the divine source code.
