At least we've been okay with doing that in our games.

Now to eagerly await a decision in regards to those example situations, in which have both occurred during our games. We decided it was best to simply treat it as a Cheat-like card until I found out the rules regulating the continued use of that particular item.

The issue with One Size Fits All is that it does say you have to choose to use the Item immediately to get the ability to use it. In that case: Put One Size Fits All with the Item so no one can claim, later, that you can't use it. If you don't use the Item immediately, discard One Size Fits All.
If it is lost by a Thief who uses the Item immediately, does he get the maximum possible bonus and ignore "slot" restrictions as well?

I'm assuming you're asking if a Thief steals the item from the player who played One Size Fits All on it. If so, no, the Thief would have to be able to equip it to use it as the item would lose One Size Fits All the moment it's stolen. However, any small item can be stolen, even if the Thief can't use/equip it. Because what's the problem with obtaining more discard fodder?

It's also my understanding that the item could not be Big for the Thief to steal it. Even if the original player is using One Size Fits All to negate the item's Big-ness.

Just remember, this is one MIB's interpretation. Official rulings can only come from Devin, Munchkin Man and Andrew.

One Size Fits All only works for the player who played it. If a Thief steals it, it's the Item as written, and One Size Fits All would be discarded.

He's referring to Steve Jackson, the designer of the game. His name is the company's name. He's not new. . .

Oh, I've never seen him post to the Munchkin forums. This is why I should've never given up coffee. Muddles the brain.

Yeah, I don't think he posts here often (I presume he's a fairly busy gent), but I do know that Andrew has commented on referring to him on rules clarification on occasion. :D
