Battlesuit model names?
While assembling my Ogre minis sets 1 & 2 it occurred to me that I don't know what "model" of battlesuits the Combine and Paneuro infantry wear. We have "Galahad" GEVs and "Ajax" missile tanks. Did the infantry battlesuits ever get model names?
And what about the CPs? They seem pretty modular or pre-fab. You'd think somebody would have given them a model name as well. |

Re: Battlesuit model names?
There may be some technical naming like this in the GURPS Ogre book.
Might be worth getting this if you're keen to add these sorts of details?

Re: Battlesuit model names?
I've checked Gurps Ogre, The Ogre Book, the game rules themselves, the Ogre Miniatures rules and the old metal minis boxes, both Ogrezines, and the scenario books. I think the only place I haven't looked is Battlesuit, but I don't own that one.
It's probable the battlesuits were just never named like the vehicles. Maybe SJ just didn't see a need to give the cannon fodder any additional description. I guess we'll just have to stick with calling them crunchies! |

Re: Battlesuit model names?
BattleSuit refers to them as Command, Assault, Ranger and Standard.
Other units are Heavy Weapons (a rapid fire missile cannon), Attack, Recon and Bomb Drones. |

Re: Battlesuit model names?
Aah, shame, I thought there might have been something, somewhere.
Sounds like an Ogre 'fiction' opportunity to me ;-)

Re: Battlesuit model names?
I thought they were called 'easy targets' :)
Seriously tough I've chsck some of those same sources and don't find anything. I thought there was a 'sniper suit' but that was a fan creation (Toltrin). And there are the white tigers from one of the suplements for ODE/6th ED.
