Maybe Binding (Close range -30%) is a better fit for limpets? With enough ST to hold on, as calculated by some multiple of Basic Lift.

Lizards, octopodes, flies, ants etc. seem to be moving across surfaces that require clinging no less than at ½ their ground Move.

I've given Brachiator to forest-dwelling elves rather than general DX increases when I felt it appropriate.

Thinking about it, I was wondering if Brachiator might be a decent chi-based power... at least for settings where it is a bit too much to go all out with the Requires Surface Limitation (whether because the setting isn't quite that over-the-top or because you want the players to slowly get to that level).

I mean in a game where you can go all DBZ or Naruto and do pretty much anything you want, its at best a weak stepping stone but in something even a bit more subdued, the hit and run ninja still escapes to and through the trees far faster than they have a right to.

At that scale nearly everything has numerous footholds for claws to grab. It's not clinging, merely climbing and high strength to weight ratios.
I've seen most of your examples slip and fall, something not possible with clinging.
"Superfly" may have that advantage, but not real ones.

Not possible at all? Even when suffering injury, stun, shock, unconsciousness, or partial dismemberment? Gee.

I hope you're being humorously pedantic.
I meant that nearly all real world animals trip and fall when climbing eventually.

Van der Waals force is how I define clinging.
Glue? I thought that limpets did simple partial vacuum adhesion. In any case, the game mechanics for Clinging says not one word about van der Waals bonds; it simply says that you can stick to a wall or ceiling, without specifying how.

People trip and fall while walking on even ground. Maybe "rolling to see if you walk" is so incredibly unplayable and dramatically uninteresting that we ignore it
