The Cat of Kromm bears the name Banshee. Mighty is it and terrifying its aspect.

Did you hear what Dr. Kromm did during the weekend? Apparently he juggled the Moon, Pluto and Eris; ran three laps around the world and then, when he couldn't find any Gatorade to quench his thirst, he drank the Dead Sea, killing it.

Kromm came to RoyalCon this weekend, did an excellent panel on GM'ing long-term games with one of his players (who did the playing part of long-term games). He hung around the entire con, making himself available to fans, being friendly and funny. I saw him sit with one guy for an hour, listening to the details of his campaign. He also dispelled many myths about Ninjas! All in all a stellar performance. I'm surprised there weren't more GURPS-heads willing to make the trip up for the weekend. There was a lot of potential face time with the good doctor. I was too busy organizing to really be able to have a decent conversation, but was having enough fun listening!

Didn't I tell y'all that Kromm was great? ;)

If I may allow myself to lapse into semi-seriousness, I would like to add that I am always pleasantly surprised by those authors, directors, artists and game designers who have time to spend time with fans and discuss their work with them. It shows a remarkably affable nature and I think that being able to listen to everyone tell you the same things again and again deserves recognition. ;)

And I also heard Dr. Kromm doesn't mind running convention games for Cthuhu, Shub-Niggurath, Nyaharlothep, Satan and Madeleine Albright. Saddam won't come because him and Satan just broke up.

Just in, unconfirmed reports that Dr. Kromm may be the next Dalai Lama. If true, this would be his fourth position as a religious leader; after having held the post of Pope, Caliph and the Dealey Lama.

Even worse, one of their (now dead) cats was named Azathoth. And yes, it really WAS the Blind, Idiot God at the Center of the Universe. As proof, she even received a birthday letter from then-canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney.

P.S.: Two of the three sentences I wrote above are true. Guess which one isn't. :)
