Flaming Aura
In the description of a fire elemental, his "Flaming Aura" or whatever is constructed using a Burning Innate Attack, with Aura, Always On, and (here's my question) Melee Attack (C). If I wanted a more powerful fire elemental, such that you get burned if you come within 2 yds, can I just change that Melee Attack (C) to Melee Attack (1,2)?

Re: Flaming Aura
I don't see why you couldn't.

Re: Flaming Aura
It's rather silly to define Aura as "80%, but you have to have Melee at 30%" instead of just defining it as "50%, incompatble with Melee" if you can't vary the range.
I'd allow C-1 for -20%, but any of the other standard reaches would be wierd; e.g., burned at 2,3 but safe when I grapple that fire elemental. Instead, I'd give no discount at all for any longer reach I permitted. GEF |

Re: Flaming Aura
With a reach such as 2, wouldn't an area effect centered on yourself only be a better solution?

Re: Flaming Aura
Area Effect with Emanation is what you need.
