The original Fall.
Any thoughts on how angels likely reacted? As before then the notion was probably a nonconcept.
Lucifer clearly had little trouble continuing to speak with many of the host at first. Secondly, any ever thought of playing through the rebellion, and how to handle such massive Celestial combat |

Re: The original Fall.
Heretical view: prelapsarian demons existed, but were generally treated as medical problems rather than moral or political ones. Without an individualist ideology to latch onto, the selfishness of the great majority expressed itself as terrible self-pity - which didn't concern other angels, as they felt pity for the demon as well - and the immediate acceptance of Redemption was near-universal. They might have even accepted that after a tragedy many Cherubim need some time to recuperate and forget their Attuned before an Archangel could bestow true healing.

Re: The original Fall.
I think it's implied in canon that Lucifer was still a Seraph until the Fall. One with some pretty... interesting... ideas, but ideas that he believed, and he spake them in the heavenly tone of "I believe this" and others listened and either agreed or didn't.
That said, the notion of demons as a medical problem instead of a moral one is quite interesting.

Re: The original Fall.
The "medical anomaly" does jive with Malphas' write up as well. He was noted to be a very odd being, being so emotionally distant and fixated upon breaking things into their smallest components. Almost like a celestial version of Asperger's before the Fall. Lucifer apparently supplied the missing philosophical piece to really galvanize Malphas. And that's roughly from (Revelation Cycle) canon.
As an alternative theory, could make for some great canonical ambiguity. |
