If you pay attention to the build, it's Unkillable 2, minus the death check immunity of Unkillable 1.

If you're wanting to be pedantic, I'll note HT isn't involved here, as it's -5xHP and -10xHP, respectively. By "well beyond the point of death" I was talking about going to -10xHP. Even with that said, I don't like the idea that -10xHP is the point at which there isn't a body left - looking at the way Homogenous vs Unliving vs Living weight-to-HP equations work, -5xLHP (LHP being HP as a living thing) is the point at which a body can no longer support life (a person dies), -10xLHP (-5xHP for Unliving) is the point at which complex structures are too damaged to continue functioning (a machine breaks down), -20xLHP (-10xHP for Unliving, -5xHP for Homogenous) is the point at which bulk matter loses cohesion (a building collapses), and -40xLHP (-20xHP for Unliving, -10xHP for Homogenous) is the point at which there is nothing left (a block of iron is reduced to dust).

My proposed Unkillable 2 variant lets the character get to -10xHP by any means, after which point further damage doesn't accumulate. If the character reaches this point solely from Fire damage, Acid damage, and/or damage from being eaten, Unkillable ceases to apply and the character won't come back. If the character reaches that point without this being the case, further Fire/Acid/Eating damage would serve to replace other damage sources until it contributes entirely to the -10xHP, at which point Unkillable ceases to apply and the character won't come back (if an HP 10 character has taken 90 HP of damage for other sources and 20 HP from Acid, he can come back; if the corpse takes a further 30 HP of damage from being burned, that would result in 60 HP of "other" damage, and 50 HP of "fatal" damage; once the character reaches 110 HP of "fatal" damage, he's permanently dead).

He seems to be arguing that the "you can die permanently from fire/acid/being eaten" clause of my trait makes it indistinguishable from Unkillable 1.

It should probably be noted that these are problems for ordinary people who fail Consciousness Checks. These things will be problems for these special people who fail Consciousness Checks too and CCs will be more common than Death Checks.

Sure. The purpose of the trait is to lessen the chance of a screw-up (or bad roll) resulting in death, rather than eliminate it entirely. For a typical character, a spear to the Vitals has a pretty good chance (between initial damage and further bleeding) of ending their career permanently. For a character with this trait, it has a pretty good chance of killing them, but unless their body is abandoned (or tossed on a bonfire) they'll get better.
