The Gurps Calculator version .2 Beta is now released into Google docs at the same link provided on the first page. (Here it is again for those too lazy to page back.)

Please note the list of new additions.

If for some reason this version of the program does not work for you, or for some insane reason you prefer .1 Beta, you can download the old version from the right hand version control panel of the google docs page.

What to look forward to when .3 Beta arrives:
Jumping Distance
A way to keep track of Injuries
Auto Calc Throwing damage based off your lifting ST.


These are by no means the only additions going in, but they are the ones that I've 100% decided on.

Are you downloading it from your computer or phone? I can download fine from my computer but also seem to be experiencing "File Download Failed" on my phone.

I am unsure what I can do about the problem. I will re-upload the file and see if that fixes it.

Apparently google docs is experiencing issues right now. I reverted it back to the old version of the file and it also did not work where, as you know, it worked previously.

You can download it onto your computer and email it to yourself, with this method I was able to get it onto my phone.

If google docs is going to be a pain off and on like this I may need to release into the android market sooner then I had hoped. I was really expecting to get a full feature list tested before releasing into the wild.

In the meantime I hope the email work around isn't too much of a hassle for you. :)

EDIT: I will probably just set up my own webhost to circumvent this problem in the future. I really don't relish the idea of releasing what I consider an unrefined product into the marketplace.

It's all good, I just plugged my phone into the computer, it's no big deal, I just don't normally do it.

Things look nicer, especially the HP Tracker.
Out of curiosity, is there a reason the pages don't rotate?

BTW, looking at the combat roller, it doesn't seem to be doing what it should, at least not entirely.

I put in:
Rng/Spd 20
Kneeling
Lying Down
Skull
Dmg Dice 2
Dmg Mod 2

And it gave back a result of:
Attack Roll: 3d+15 = 31
Def. vs Atack: -4
Damage: 2d+2 = 14

So it's adding +15 to the attack roll instead of -15.
For further functionality, you may want to think about putting in an option to add in Acc, and other positive bonuses, maybe even just a simple +bonus to hit block.

Also, the only way to reroll is to to back and then click on the Combat Roller again.

+15 is correct for the die roll since these are penalties and in GURPS the lower the better. -15 would be if we are applying it to the skill to get the effective skill.

I like the plus bonus idea! You are a wellspring of ideas for this app.

I'll put in a Calc button so that you can just recalc right away.

Almost missed this question. I went out of my way to make them portrait style only to begin with. I have yet to check out how rotating would work with these screens, but I don't imagine they would look very snazzy....but now that I think about it people with keyboards are probably not happy since they would be using the app sideways.

I will look into this for sure.

Duh, I can't believe I actually said that.

I think what threw me is that I never add things in like that, and I just apply the penalty to the skill, so adding a bonus to the die roll is what threw me.

I don't see any functionality in that 3d+15 roll, on the other hand, if it just listed the +15 to hit, or -15 penalty total that'd be good.
Or if we were putting in a skill, and it rolled vs that skill and gave margin of success/failure that'd also be good.
