Dire Teddy Bear (Munchkin Penny Arcade)
The Dire Teddy Bear states it goes to the player after the combat if it is used against them. Does this happen even if they lose the combat? And if so, does it happen before or after they Run Away?

Good question. I would think that it would happen before they are done running away, even if they lose. Reason being, as soon as you pick up the dice to run away, combat is over. And the Bear makes no stipulation about winning or losing. Then, if the monster's Bad Stuff kills them, the Bear could be looted.
Just my opinion :) |

Yeah, I thought of it that way at first, then we have the rule that you don't get Treasure if you lose, and the Dire Teddy Bear is certainly Treasure. If a loser is due the Bear, I would agree with your interpretation of the timing, but some cards do treat Running Away as being combat, so I'm not 100% sure either.
