Default The Justice League in THS!

Calm down. Breath.

The idea is that a hobbist living in the asteriod belt attempts to recreate the JLA. We'll asume he wants to recreate, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Plastic Man, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Hawkgirl, and a wild card of your choice.

What would be the stats for the Biroids that would came closest to the characters?

Thank-you.

I'm sort of curious as to his motive for doing this, given that recreating many of the powers of these fictional characters is basically impossible with biotech, and whatever he does manage is thus likely to display high levels of pathos.

Is he wanting to create a large-scale LARP, like Starburst Station (THS: High Frontier, p126)?

Is he just a nut-case bioroid abuser?

Is he hoping to have some kind of social/political effect? In which case, these characters are likely to be sadly dated.

Wonder Woman,
As for Superman. The lasso of truth might be doable with brain-bugs, but it will take a lot longer than in the comics.
Quote:
Batman,
You could definitely make a Bioroid that thinks he's the Batman. You could even make one that's a pretty good detective/martial artist.

Flash,
You can get closer with a cybershell, you'll never be near fast enough though.
Quote:
Green Lantern,
It's trivial to make a Bioroid that thinks he's Jordan, Gardner, Stewart, or Rayner. The ring is, of course, impossible.
Quote:
Aquaman,
It's probably possible to duplicate the aquatic abilities reasonably well (although without fins he's going to a pretty slow swimmer compared to say a gill-morph). The mind control isn't doable.
Quote:
Martian Manhunter,
As Superman but worse. No way you are getting invisibility (although a cybershell could at least have a chameleon surface), insubstantiability, or telepathy.
Quote:
Plastic Man,
Maybe as a cybershell.
Quote:
Black Canary,
As a cybershell with a built in sonic weapon.
Quote:
Green Arrow,
As with Batman, making a Bioroid that thinks it is Oliver Queen is doable.
Quote:
Hawkgirl,
If she only has to fly in micro-gravity, possibly.

and a wild card of your choice.
If you ignore some of the more outre things he's done, Cyborg is probably doable.

Hmm... if you are making the whole area where they play this is probably a lot easier. Telepathy is easy by sticking brain bugs, and similar cybernetics in everyone. Then that can make whatever changes you need. Flight might be doable in a controlled area with magnetics.

Note: as always a lot of things can be done much better/easier in VR.

Choose whichever of the first two you like, I find the third boring. Yes these charaters are impossible with THS technology. What's the closest the nutcase can get?

Agreed. This is a case of a mad hobbist/impresario trying to do it in the "real" world.

Thanks Sir Pudding. But what would the stats be?

I was hoping for an interesting reason for the question. Since there isn't one, for me, I'll bow out.

Heck yeah. It's like how modern millionaires collect cars, but billionaires travel around the world in balloons. The richer you are, the wackier your hobbies are.
