Re: [IW] Ordinary Worlds with valuables!
Considering the number of American and Soviet nuclear weapons that have been lost and were not recoverable there are easier ways to find a nuke.

Re: [IW] Ordinary Worlds with valuables!
Hmm, I wonder if producing copyrighted products in other worlds is a legal work around?

Re: [IW] Ordinary Worlds with valuables!
Or maybe it's that the works are already identical on the other world, but the copyrights expired. Maybe Star Wars flopped and so the copyright expired. If you bring it to homeline, you could point out that it's clearly not the same film and sell merchandise based off it. And yes, there would be a lawsuit, but by then you're on to your next scam.

On the other hand, if you are a noted author on homeline, its worth your time to send agents to scour the quanta for works you have the copyright for and are ripe fruit ready to fall into your lap.

Re: [IW] Ordinary Worlds with valuables!
What would be an interesting conflict is if a failed Homeline writer is successful in another timeline, and people decide to import his or her alternates successful writing. Does the failed writer deserve to benefit from the hard work of their alternative without lifting a finger? Or does the alternative deserve recognition and reward for having done the hard work? In the latter case, you do not even need to share the Secret, you just need to import the published books rather than stealing the finished stories.

Re: [IW] Ordinary Worlds with valuables!
Another complication could occur if the Homeline author decides that their alternatives deserve a piece of the pie (or otherwise decides that they are legitimate human beings that deserve autonomy and respect). Or if the widow of a Homeline author (who would be the legal heir) decides that she wants her husband back (and decides that the successful alternative is good enough).
