I had missed that article. I keep missing the "read more" buttons and I'm not sure why, because I always put those breaks in my blog too, and they're not particularly hard to miss. Read through it, and this is the sort of stuff I love to see. In fact, my first thought upon reading the first half of the article was to look up where it showed up in movies, but Hans did that for me. Clever. And the detail on the gun itself, in GURPS, is exactly the sort of thing that makes me want to play GURPS in the first place, though I can rarely get that level of weapon-detail down-pat at my table, though I wish I could.

Re: Shooting Dice Blog with GURPS content
Recent posts include a detailed look at the real-world performance of the Remington Model 870 Police Magnum shotgun, with hints for use in GURPS.
I have also enrolled in the Melee Academy with a post called "Martial Arts: The Maltese Falcon". Cheers HANS

Re: Shooting Dice Blog with GURPS content
Is the 12ga version still the one true guage? Or how popular are 20s?

Re: Shooting Dice Blog with GURPS content
My 870 is a 20, it was really really pretty and the shop owner was willing to haggle
Of course it always is annoying going to buy ammo for it . . . it seems wrong smaller boxes of 20ga cost more than 12ga! |
