Well, it's less of a problem if you're willing to play them like bombs, rather than budget missiles. Either drop them on targets that don't move from arbitrary distances, or carry them very close to the target before release.

Agreed, they are bombs, they are meant to target immobile bases, not mobile spacecraft.
