Any news regarding Discworld?
The most recent news I've seen was four years ago - any new info out there? I'm really looking forward to it.

Re: Any news regarding Discworld?
There has been some discussion recently over in the Report To The Stakeholders thread in the SJ Games Discussion forum.

I don't think the license includes digital versions.

Please see that Report to the Stakeholders thread rather than guessing.
(Personally, I'm still trying to work out how a licensed Pratchett/Discworld product can have profitability issues. But don't ask me to explain this business, I only write this stuff.)

And I'm only a fan, but I feel the same, specially remembering the awesome draft I read and commented on during the playtest. This is seriously, IMHO, both an extremely faithful adaptation of Pratchett's world, and the best introduction to GURPS I've ever seen.

Hum ... I don't really know, actually, but I will buy it! And it can interest a lot of other people, especially if this is true: Quote:
If the new version of GURPS Discworld is a ready to play game, with at minimum one ready to play adventure, it may become a best seller! Want to try GURPS? Begin with GURPS Discworld! |

Re: Any news regarding Discworld?
I don't remember if there's a ready to play adventure in it, it's been a long while, but for anyone wishing to start with GURPS, I will definitely recommend Discworld once it's out.

Re: Any news regarding Discworld?
Is it accessible to someone whose a casual Discworld fan whose only read say twenty of the books, and that over a span of years?
I haven't played the PC game, and haven't read the Annuals or whatever they are called or anything either |

Re: Any news regarding Discworld?
Going from memory, so don't hold me responsible if it doesn't match the finished product exactly, but I felt it was very accessible. I am, however, a die hard pratchett fan, and have read all the novels in the main series (not the young adult ones though).
