Default GURPS Stats for BD's Spot Robot?

Has anyone already put together a 3e Vehicles/Robots writeup for Boston Dynamics' most famous quadruped robot, the dog-like Spot?


I'm poking at some ideas for a near-future SF setting, in which there's some incentive to use real-world off-the-shelf designs. I can find various stats at BD's website for a Spot (eg, https://support.bostondynamics.com/s...specifications , https://www.bostondynamics.com/spot , https://shop.bostondynamics.com/spot ) and its accessories (eg, https://shop.bostondynamics.com/spot-arm , https://shop.bostondynamics.com/spot-EAP ); but GURPS has numbers of its own, which interact with other GURPS rules and gadgets (such as 3D printers, and bullets). If someone else has done any of the work, I'd appreciate being able to save a bit of time. :)

Welp, since it seems the answer to my above question is 'no', I've cobbled together a 4e writeup based on Boston Dynamics' published stats, Ultra-Tech's robots, and some guesswork. If you see anything that should be tweaked, feel free to let me know. :)

IQ 2 seems optimistic. I don't see any evidence that it has better than insect-level intelligence. Otherwise it seems about right to me.

I checked my available-to-hand 3e's Bestiary for low-IQ critters; a Jellyfish seems to be about as unintelligent as you can get, and it got an IQ of 2. And Update says 4e IQs are the same as 3e's, other than price, so that's why I picked 2.

I've just checked its default skills given the attributes above, and am amused to find its highest are Sports (rugby) 8-, Sex Appeal 7-, and Carousing 6-

(I have an urge to make a comment about Rule 34, but this isn't the forum for such.)

That... definitely doesn't seem right. Jellyfish literally don't have brains. IQ 2 is as smart as a typical reptile or fish.

A quick skim of 3e Bestiary, for recognizable real-world critters with IQ 3 or less:

IQ 1: (none listed)
IQ 2: Jellyfish, Leech, Poisonous Fish
IQ 3: Alligator, Great Barracuda, Electric Eel, Gila Monster, Komodo Dragon, Giant Octopus, Ostrich, Pangolin, Penguin, Piranha, Porcupine, Puffin, Rabbit, Shark, Snake, Sting Ray


I'm open to dropping Spot's IQ to 1, if there are any 4e examples to override my currently-available 3e reference.

Sharks and snakes are IQ 2 in 4e.

Thanks for this! Pretty timely considering I've been re-reading Ghost Run by J.L. Bourne and it features a robot very similar to this, and I was looking at creating some stats for it.

This gives a great starting point to tweak the stats.
