UT: Remote Mind Emulation in a Robot
At TL 10 I'm going to have the braintape of a IQ 16 mind of a deceased scientist/engineer put into a computer. This requires a complexity 12 program. At this tech level, a genius macroframe computer should be able to handle this. This emulation computer will be located on board a starship to allow the mind to travel, and will have backups here and there.
This genius, a female from her time in her "bioshell", will have an avatar in the form of a robot. The problem is either she's gonna have a head like a washer and dryer set, or she's going to have to have her "brains" transmitted to her "body". How should I go about this? |

There is no reason why you can't operate a lifelike automation via telepresence with the actual processing for the mind in a larger receptacle. It would also be possible to have a lifelike automaton of lower intelligence when cut off from a link to the primary intelligence.

Or you could just ignore rules for IQ and complexity for Ghosts as TS does, or base it on racial average IQ instead.
