171) This goes double for any modern campaign and any RW firearm. No good can come of that combo.

If anyone breaks into our house, they're going to learn that this statement is inaccurate. (They're also going to learn that an old XBox controller, swung at the end of its cord and allowed to wrap around a limb or throat, is pretty effective as well. With two depressives in the house, we don't have any guns - but that hardly means we're unarmed...)

Cats are indeed throwing weapons. As are Halflings, Gnomes, and (when my Barbarian has sufficient Strength) Dwarves, too. Anythng he can pick up and throw. 174) In a DF setting, my barbarian is not supposed to adopt the tag line "You wouldn't like me when I'm mad". |

IIRC, that edition allowed barbarian who were using normal weapons to treat them as magical weapons. There was no provision for preventing this from happening with ~improvised~ weapons. When my barbarian found himself in an undead-infested area and needed a magical weapon to smack a wight (which required magic weapons to damage it), my barbarian dutifully picked up the severed leg of a zombie and began bashing away with a "+2 Zombie Leg". The other players laughed. The DM groaned. I snickered as I rolled the dice. |
