I can't find the thread, but someone had instituted a Hero/Drama Points thing that gave a single use of luck, with no more than two uses a scene. You got 4 at the start of each session and voluntarily failing a self-control roll on a disadvantage gave you one back.

It encourages players to roleplay their disadvantages instead of hoping that they'll manage to NOT do whatever it was they got points for promising to occasionally do.

Just checked back on this thread: this above is a nice one (cut/paste/save). I will suggest it as possible next campaign.
