Drop a grenade in your hex, the attacks isn't really coming from you so much as coming from the grenade - Dodging should work normally.

Also, don't drop a grenade in your hex.

Some games have explicit rules against it to avoid really weird cheese (d20: Self-fireball with Evasion), but GURPS doesn't really work in combos like that, so I'm not aware of any special case.

I can confirm (with second hand knowledge) that you can indeed dodge a grenade you threw (or at least dropped) at your own feet. However, in that case you are actually attacking the ground with a thrown object, and then (after a couple seconds delay) the grenade makes a AoE attack on itself (which it, incidentally, cannot dodge).

However, I Dodge (accidental) attacks on myself all the time. Somewhat butterfingered, and have finally trained myself not to make catching parries of dropped knives.

Unfortunately sometimes you need to make a Per roll to realize that's where the grenade ended up. And sometimes people are Mentally Stunned after finding out that's where the grenade ended up.

I saw a video a few months ago of a soldier clearly getting his first training with live grenades, he managed to bounce it right back to his feet. He was still processing this fact when the trainer body-slammed him into the trench behind where he was standing (clearly provided for just such an occasion).
