Energy Cost reduction and Variable Energy Cost
I understand generally how high skill reduces energy cost.
However, while I can find the bit of text where it is stated that Maintenance can become free, I can't find the bit where it says that the cost to cast is always at least 1 FP. Am I imagining that rule? Assuming I'm not, what happens in cases like Minor Healing 15+? I spend 1 FP, and heal 2 HP? I spend 3 FP, healing 4 and bypassing the regular limit on Minor Healing? In the first case, I think yes, this is how it works. In the second, I think I couldn't spend 3 FP anymore (unless high Magery), because at 2 FP for 3 HP I'd be maxed out. Similarly with things that charge over multiple rounds, the discount only applies once. So I could charge a Fireball with 2 FP in the first round, 1 FP in the second and enjoy a 4-Energy Fireball, right? |

on M8 under Energy Cost is says:
"If you know it well enough, you can cast it at no cost." |
