I'm very happy to see GURPS 3rd back in print via POD. I ordered the Basic Set and Compendium I.

Super Fast delivery and very high Quality!

Now my question: What about Compendium II, Magic, Grimoire and Martial Arts?

Magic and Martial Arts appear to be available already, unless you mean for 3rd edition. I think these are 4th.

It shows what is currently slated for 2018 release as well. Maybe they'll add more. I don't know, but that's a quick way to look.

Because they do, and it's their money. Believe it or not, there are folks who don't like 4E.

The great thing about POD, like PDF, is that once the setup cost is paid there's little to no intrinsic ongoing cost, so it's affordable for products that will sell very slowly over a long time. It's the long tail thing all over again, for people who have space for physical products.

That said, I'll note that most of the 3rd edition books slated for upcoming release are genre and setting books for which there's no 4e equivalent: Transhuman Space, Middle Ages, Celtic Myth, Atomic Horror, and so on. 3rd edition Basic and Compendium I are the necessary rules foundation to make sense of other 3rd edition books. I think this is less about people continuing to play 3rd edition and more about making 3rd edition setting and genre books easier to use without having to rewrite them.
Exactly!

But back to Topic: Any plans for a POD release of Compendium II, Magic and Martial Arts?

I think every major RPG has fans who enjoy previous editions, whether they prefer it to the current one or just like to revisit the older stuff on occasion.

It’s nice that it’s becoming common to be able to purchase previous editions of RPGs.

Right, you know how some people like what they know and may not feel like they have time or money to learn all new books and moderately new rules? And paper books only last so long with active play?

My old group played GURPS pretty regular from 1998-2010 without touching 4e, (other than the "optional rules" I tried out on them during the 4e super black Cosmic NATO secret playtest) and I had already established in-continuity niches for the otherwise abusable 3Rev rules that were cut in the making of 4e, so I kept using the old rules with them until I moved off to grad school.

Is there perhaps some way I can address their assertion without addressing them personally?
