Default Firing a harpoon / arrow / crossbow bolt from a specialized EM gun?

Greetings, all!

Say a TL9ish civilization needs a weapon that fires relatively long projectiles. Preferably an (oversized) underbarrel one. Comparable to the blade of a Long Knife, at least 1 foot long, 1 inch wide, and one millimetre thick.

A canonical long knife is 1½ lbs, which seems like a lot compared to the canonical TL5 Greener-Martini Mk.II harpoon weapon, with its ½ lb. harpoon doing 6d with a range of Range 35/120, and a 3-lb wire attached.

I'm hoping that a TL9 EM gun firing such a thing should have a better range, and/or be more compact. But what sort of performance can I more plausibly hope for?

Thanks in advance!
