List of REALISTIC custom perks
The other thread seems almost entirely about cinematic perks.
I would like to see others' realistic one, please. Able to buy a lowgrade discriminatory smell: |

Re: List of REALISTIC custom perks
A lot of very good habits make great perks. They are great "after-the-fact" saves for the character.
Obsessively Clean and Organized perk. A character can definitly fit more stuff in containers, know where everything is, and can answer any inventory questions. Such a character would have a sanitizer handy, and a lot of personal hygene and medical kits around. Efficient Note Taker perk. It may not be eidetic memory but it will do quite well. With smart phones, a character may be able to upload the data quite efficiently and quickly. Technophile perk. all OS, little gadgets, and all their brands and classes that fall in the PC's electronic operation's category is definitely useful. Allows you to jump in and use other unfamiliar systems (ever tried using a linux if you've only used windows, or nokia smart phones vs apple vs palm, sony, samsung etc. ) Extraordinary Hygiene Perk. White pearly teeth (regularly maintained), great smelling breath, fresh and young looking skin, manicured mustache or facial hair, great perfectly worn perfume. definity a useful perk and would carry a reaction bonus. Martha's Student perk. One particular perk would be having mastered a very small knowledge group like all things martha stewart. Access to her site, forums, and all the kinds of data that comes with it. A bonus to cooking, research, current affairs, savoir faire (sub-culture), house keeping, organizing, crafting, connoisseur and merchant skills related to martha. Something very useful for a gadgeteer, investigator, officer, and intelligence annalyst. Other specialized knowledge perk 4-chan, Craig's List, Blogs, Facebook, Anarchists etc. "Street Cred" Perk. this is Courtesy rank for a specialized sub-culture. Usefull when you need "Street Cred" to work with a certain subculture: very small ethnic communities ex: Circus People, gypsies, internet forums, blog-sphere, web comics, etc. Carry Everywhere Pack Perk. Signature gear that the PC carry's everywhere and is very secure. A pack with personal belongings, emergency supplies, first aid, etc that allows them to carry them into security conscious locations. -Multi tool, first aid kit (painkillers, stimulants, tranquilizers, anti-bacterials, allergy relief, wound cleaning, bandaging, sanitizer, and cold and fever medicine). Re: List of REALISTIC custom perks
I don't see why they need to be split up. The other thread is about Perks: both cinematic and realistic are welcome.

Well sculpted body, flawless hair (that never gets too ruffled) or very large breast might be stuff that could give a reaction bonus but only to certain group of people. Good teeth and skin and smell is universally recognised as a sign of good health, and anyone, no matter gender or sexual preferences, would find that apealing. |

There are MANY MANY Factors for attraction, there is HT, a face that people really like, special features (like really really blue eyes etc.), exoticism (like I've heard hipsters are into asians now), fashion, etc... if you can justifiably create one that can have clear distinction from the rest, why not? Thats whats for good characters, the interesting little details that mark the surface of something very interesting. |

One I adapted from New World of Darkness
Barfly: The velvet rope is no barrier to you. Unless you are grossly under or over dressed or broke you will always be let into to a party or social gathering, no roll required. This is a variant of "No nuisance rolls, carousing." really and it would be justifiable to require carousing 10+ to take it .... Another Work Experience: You have actual experience with a job that is below the threshold of a skill. You can get a job in this field and may treat your skill at 12 or your controlling stat whatever is better. Jobs that may qualify include Fast Food, Retail, Gas Station Attendant, Assembly Line and others |

Standard Operating Procedure
PCCs/PCIs (Pre-Combat Checks and Inspections): You always check your gear and supplies before leaving on a mission in a systematic way. If there is ever a question whether you remembered something you were required to carry, have a full load of ammo, or made sure your equipment was functional; there isn't. You did. Piano Fingers Whenever you are the first one into a potentially booby-trapped location, and are able to do so you check it for traps. This includes opening doors, climbing through windows and hopping over walls. As long as you are able to move at a careful pace you never have to tell the GM that you are checking for traps. If you must rush, the GM must warn you. Valuable Check Whenever you are outdoors or in a public place you periodically check your carried items to make sure you aren't missing any. You do this without even thinking about it by patting your pockets, hefting your purse and so on. If an item is lost or stolen the GM may roll 2d-2 to determine how many minutes pass before you notice (on a zero it is has been only seconds!). *************** Lay Member You are a member in good standing of a church, temple or other organized religious gathering. You attend church regularly and have learned a lot about your faith even though you've never received formal training. You get a +1 reaction from the individual clerics that you personally interact with on a regular basis (no more than five). Additionally you get a +3 to the default for Theology (Your Faith); +2 to the default for Religious Ritual (Your Faith) and +1 to the default for one of the following:
