Re: Live In The Labyrinth
An aerial view of the hex board would be helpful so that viewers can see what is happening in the combats.

Re: Live In The Labyrinth
My attempt to apply the ITL rules to the Spider Chest encounter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kkW9optPbA
Limiting the stacking of vermin doesn't seem needed, but I do have a question about Physicker ability to treat a character with multiple spider or wasp bites. Can they treat each poison failure or is the entire encounter limited to three points of healing? Second episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZibvFMMwJM Is the wizard marking off fatigue for maintaining the spell? ITL 91: "Bears ... fur that stops 2 hits." (Creating fire in its hex does no damage.) ITL 106: "A kneeling, prone, or fallen figure cannot disengage" Note the increased damage requirements at "Reactions to Injury" at ITL 118 for ST 30 bears. There is no penalty for shooting through fire. Suggestion: ITL 74: "every 10 minutes of game time when the party is in a room ..."

Re: Live In The Labyrinth
I will say I enjoyed the 2nd episode. Bears - Ben and Jerry and other witty remarks.
Less errors such as reversing the map East and West setups can be ignored. Trying different Spells and Abilities - a great way for everyone to learn the system and what works well for each character. My single suggestion to the PCs would be to use team tactics when moving to cover each others butts. The live chats provided quick responses to rules questions. so all in all - good job. Is the plan to continue after DT 1? |

Re: Live In The Labyrinth
Yes, it was great to see the corrections about the previous episode, and to see things run closer to correctly.
Good job. Fun to watch. Nice touch with the glowing message on the wall. Notes for GM: * Creation spell range is one Megahex from the caster. * Thrown spells are at -1 to cast for every hex to the target. * Armor protects from fire unless the figure remains in the fire for more turns than the armor rating. * Standing in a hex with a dead body in it gives a -2 DX penalty for bad footing. * Images can be disbelieved. |

Re: Live In The Labyrinth
If you're going to have an Elf Berserker...
Elf hero ST 13, DX 14(13), IQ 9, MA 14+2 Fine Halberd(2d+1), Bastard Sword(2d+2), Dagger(1d-1) Cloth Armor(1), Toughness(1) Elvish, Humanish, Knife, Pole Weapons, Running, Sword, Toughness I Charge 8 hexes and hit first for an average of 11.5 damage, imposing -2 DX on a large bear. Due to a traumatic childhood experience he has to roll 4/IQ to resist going berserk at the sight of creepy crawlies. While berserk he ignores the racial penalties to hit these crawling things and must roll 4/IQ to leave berserk while these remain in more or intact bits near him then needs to roll 3/IQ to recover before attacking friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKTP...4&index=4&t=8s Disappointed that the Giant didn't take the chance to push back and trample the puny humans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xpaRxK5iNX0 And taking a fifth wheel comes back to bite them.

Jimmie needs to be sitting where Fox is.
Best setup for a GM in general, and an absolute must for streaming the game.

Re: Live In The Labyrinth
I've chosen to place myself on the end because of the nature of our studio space. We need to fit 5 people around 3 sides of the table, and if I have my books, computer, minis, screen, and other materials, there really isn't enough room for two others on that side of the table.
We originally had a 'GM cam' as our second shot, but swapped it out to a table cam so folks could see the battles playing out. Stay tuned though, Brandon and I have been working on the setup to expand our options. |
