Re: The Unoffial 2056 Vehicle Guide
I don't think I'll ever be impressed by a vehicle that includes a gunner when there's only one aimed weapon and a standard chassis. You could put basically the same stuff in a sloped compact.

Re: The Unoffial 2056 Vehicle Guide
Blackfin The Blackfin was introduced in 2052 to fill the perceived niche for a cycle capable of taking on much larger prey. It's heavily armed and only lightly armored, but sloped cycles are harder to hit than truck tires, giving the Blackfin an advantage on the road. Truckers have learned to loathe these.
Heavy cycle, Heavy suspension, Small Cycle Plant with Superconductors, PR Tires, Autocannon F, SWC, Cyclist with Body Armor, Cycle Windshell, Overdrive. Plastic Armor: F 16 B 7. Five points windshell armor. HC 2, Accel 5, Top Speed 100. $15,004, 1298 lbs. Blackfin Beta The Beta was introduced in 2054 to address weaknesses in the original Blackfin design. The autocannon has been dropped in favor of a Vulcan with an extra magazine, allowing extensive use of sustained fire bonuses, the tires have been upgraded, and the price has been slashed. As Blackfin, but replace AC with VMG and extra magazine, replace PR tires with solids, and add 1 point of armor F and B. $11,830, 1300 lbs. Top Speed becomes 97.5. Backlash After the Blackfin gained notoriety, competition was inevitable. By 2055, the Backlash was on the market, boasting even heavier firepower, albeit without the protection of sloped armor. Heavy cycle, Heavy suspension, Small cycle plant with Superconductors, PR tires, BC with HEAT F, SWC, Cyclist with Body Armor, Cycle Windshell, Overdrive. Plastic Armor: F 17 B 8. Three points windshell armor. HC 2, Accel 5, Top Speed 97.5. $13,730, 1300 lbs. Double Diamond The Double Diamond became available just after the Backlash, and was endorsed by former Div 10 cyclocross champion "Pep" Arnson. Its primary selling point is its superior armor. Heavy Cycle, Heavy Suspension, Small cycle plant with Superconductors, Solid Tires, linked RLs with AP F, HRSWC, Cyclist with Body Armor, Cycle Windshell, Overdrive. Plastic Armor: F 20 B 12. Nine points windshell armor. HC 2, Accel 5, Top Speed 100. $13,524, 1297 lbs. Last edited by MIB 1473; 05-28-2007 at 01:08 PM. |

Re: The Unoffial 2056 Vehicle Guide
Dingo The Dingo is a very capable passenger vehicle. It's not flashy or sexy, but its low price, reasonable weapons load, and above-average armor layout have kept it a solid seller. Ironically, it is not yet available in Australia.
Luxury, Heavy Suspension, Extra Heavy Chassis, Large Plant with Plat Cats, Solid Tires, linked MDs corner-mounted L and R, turreted RR with extra magazine, SWC (at gunner position), Driver and Gunner with Body Armor, three Passengers. Plastic Armor: F 35, L 28, R 28, B 35, T 30, U 17. Two 10-point wheelhubs F, two 10-point wheelguards B. HC 3, Accel 5, Top Speed 90. $18,460, 6600 lbs. |

Re: The Unoffial 2056 Vehicle Guide
G2 The G2 is typical of designs for high-end duellists uninterested in arena combat or long road trips. It's mostly a big, expensive toy, but cannot be taken lightly in an engagement.
Streamlined Luxury, Carbon-Aluminum Frame, Extra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, FP SB Solid Tires, 300 cid Engine with VP Turbo, Supercharger, Blueprinting, and Tubular Headers, 5 gallon Duelling Tank, Driver with Body Armor, GG F, GG with extra magazine in universal turret, Smart Link, HRSWC, FcD B, Spoiler and Airdam, HD Shocks, HD Brakes, ABS, Active Suspension, Overdrive. Sloped FP Plastic Armor: F 50, L 36, R 36, B 50, T 38, U 12. 10 points FP Component Armor around each of Driver, F GG, and engine and gas tank. Two 10-point FP wheelhubs F, Two 10-point FP wheelguards B. HC 4, Accel 20, Top Speed 147.5. $88,923, 6600 lbs. Last edited by MIB 1473; 05-28-2007 at 01:09 PM. |

Re: The Unoffial 2056 Vehicle Guide
Minotaur Division 25 duellists don't see a lot of vans, but they also don't see many pairs of linked Blast Cannons. The Minotaur is a force to be reckoned with, so long as it can keep you in its front firing arc.
Van, Extra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Super Power Plant, two SB PR tires F, four PR tires B, Driver and Gunner with Body Armor, linked BCs F, SWC (at gunner position), MnR L, MnR R, MnR B, FcD B. Plastic Armor: F 50, L 20, R 20, B 25, T 6, U 12. Two 10-point wheelhubs F, two 10-point wheelguards B. 10 points Component Armor around Driver, Gunner, and each MnR. HC 2, Accel 5, Top Speed 95. $24,990, 7197 lbs. |

Snapper You've never seen a real turtle until you've seen a Snapper. This Div 40 pickup has enough armor to shrug off the heaviest volleys, and an anti-tank gun capable of making foes regret having gotten your attention.
Pickup, Carbon-Aluminum Frame, Extra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, 150 cid Engine, Turbocharger, Blueprinting, Tubular Headers, 5 gallon Duelling Tank, six SB Solid Tires, ATG with APFSDS F, HRSWC, Driver with Body Armor, Overdrive. Sloped LR Metal/ Standard Plastic Armor: F 20/13, L 12/18, R 12/18, B 15/25, T 0/10, U 0/20. 10 points FP Component Armor around Driver, ATG, and engine and gas tank. Two 10-point wheelhubs F, two 10-point wheelguards B. HC 2, Accel 5/10, Top Speed 60. $39,694, 7799 lbs. |

Re: The Unoffial 2056 Vehicle Guide
Tiamat Three fire-breathing heads and a metal hide make this Div 10 compact a handful. It's vulnerable to flame attacks and largely ineffective against metal armor, but watch out for your tires.
Compact, Extra-Heavy Chassis, Heavy Suspension, Medium Plant with Superconductors. SB PR tires, Driver with Body Armor, three linked LFTs with HT F, SWC, SkD B. Sloped Metal/Plastic Armor: F 12/9, L 21, R 21, B 27, T 5, U 12. Two 10-point wheelhubs F, two 10-point wheelguards B. HC 3, Accel 5, Top Speed 92.5. $9988, 4440 lbs. |
