Re: Munchkin Christmas Lite
Most of them are from the original Munchkin set. A very few (Frost Giant and Santa come to mind) are from expansions.

Re: Munchkin Christmas Lite
Ooh. It has Frost Giant and Santa in it. It'll be nice to be able to toss those into the mix without having to pull them out of the sets they are in. (And yeah, it'd be cool if the "Santa" trait was printed on them both, too.)

Re: Munchkin Christmas Lite
Not all the monsters in this game are Santa monsters. Some of them just really like Christmas.

Re: Munchkin Christmas Lite
I'm afraid to ask since I like the nice price, but is this 112 card pack really going to be a Christmas gift at $9.95, or is that just a error on the webpage?

It should be relatively easy to make a workable deck once this arrives, even if combining all of the sets leads to a monster-heavy deck. Unless my math is off, it looks like there will now be 206 Christmas themed cards in existence. As such, it should be relatively simple to cull excess monsters to get to a feasible "base game" size of 168 cards. What will really determine the feasibility of a stand alone Christmas deck will be the inclusion of classes and races since many existing cards already reference those. The preview photo shows that we will be getting some classes (Wizard is actually shown, "your Class" is referenced in another card (Curse?) while Bard is specifically referenced in two other curses) but there's nothing to indicate we will be getting Races (but surely they would include Elves!!). Even if we do, including all of the existing Munchkin races (or Classes for that matter) would likely be too card intensive for a 112 card product. |

Re: Munchkin Christmas Lite
Hey, I was just wondering, is this (and for that matter, the Holiday Surprise reprint) going to be available in the UK in time for Christmas? Was hoping to make a full Christmas themed deck in time for Christmas Day, with these sets and Holidazed.
There's like two gaming shops in my town and one caters more for war games like Warhammer while the other is more about things like Magic and Yu Gi Oh, so I get most of my stuff from Amazon if that helps. W23 is always an option but I'd sort of like to avoid customs charges. Thanks in advance. |
