Munchkin Marvel 3 - "Infinity" (GUAL)
Infinity is a GUAL that lets each player discard an item to go up a level, starting with the person it was played on. Does this mean the person it was played on gets a level then may discard an item for another, or does the initial target have to discard an item to gain a level? (I'm interpreting it as the former, as it's a GUAL card with an additional effect; if it were the latter, one would think it would be more like the "Steal A Level" card from base Munchkin, which is not a GUAL.)

Bump!
Also would either of these effects be able to get a player to level 10? I also think it’s a GUAL with an added effect but it is a bit unclear. |

In the future, please do not "bump" posts. We have a method for how to call attention to unanswered questions, as explained in the READ ME sticky thread. If you have a legitimate add-on question to one that has been posted, feel free to just ask it.
Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of Munchkin Marvel 3, but from the description, it would seem that each player gets to pick an Item to discard to get 1 level. There wouldn't be 2 levels for the player the GUAL was played on. And, unless a card which gives a player a level says it can be used for the Winning Level, it can't. The card doesn't have to say it can't be used for the Winning Level because the rules already expressly state the requirements for getting the Winning Level. |

Then why does the card say "starting with you?".
Does it mean that the person who plays the GUAL card is forced to discard an item in order to go up the level? And then everybody can discard an item as well do get an level..? |

Bearing in mind that I also don't have Marvel 3 at home to check (well, I do, but it's upstairs and I don't want to dig it out of the box), I'm pretty sure every player must discard an Item, including the one who plays the card.
