Speculation: e23 GURPS releases for the rest of 2009.
OK, from Kromm's Another week in the life of GURPS posts on his livejournal, and various posts on these forums we can make some pretty good guesses at what might be on the release schedule for the rest of this year.
We also know that the secret masters of e23 release GURPS goodness on a Thursday. (I can't remember exactly where that piece of news came from.) Here's my compilation and guesses (and wishes)! Certainly not this year. Low-Tech ran slightly over the maximum possible word count and needs editing down, the Companions ran from slightly over to absurdly over, and they're all packed with slow-to-edit tables and rules. But I think people will be reasonably pleased with the result.
Thematically, Treasure Tables would seem an appropriate Christmas release.

I should note that, as cool as the idea might be, it has, so far as I know, no basis in reality. Clerics could be equally appropriate (Pick the religious professional of your choice for this holiest of days), and and I don't doubt that coolness of concept has almost no impact on actual schedules.

According to Today's DI, Clerics and Taverns appear to be closer to release than Christmas (fingers crossed), so I speculate/wish for/ask santa for DF.Treasure Tables as the christmas release! |

Nope. Vehicle Design is a low-priority item simply because it's at the absolute upper limit for charts, equations, stats, and tables in GURPS books. The editorial resources needed to complete N pages of Vehicle Design would give us 1.5N to 2N pages of just about anything else. And while gamers who like to design vehicles are vocal, they're also a niche, which compounds with the last factor to mean that the earnings are more like $Q for Vehicle Design vs. $3Q to $4Q for just about anything else. In the current economic climate, that trumps every other consideration. So for now, this product waits until David Pulver is done with things like the Spaceships series. Sorry!

I have long adapted to having niche interests. I'll just console myself that SJ
Games puts any effort into niche products. |

I'm crossing my fingers that WWII: Red Tide will be one of the mystery question marks. I hope to be screaming 'For Stalin! For the Motherland!' before the end of the year.

(And probably the Car Wars community, the Ogre community, etc., but I can't really speak for them.) That said, it IS seriously cool to see so much GURPS stuff in the works ....
